Calcium oxide, commonly called quicklime, is a highly alkaline and reactive material produced by calcining limestone. It is selected for industrial processes according to chemistry, available-lime basis, reactivity, form and particle size.
Quicklime is calcium oxide (CaO). Hydrated lime is calcium hydroxide, produced by reacting quicklime with a controlled amount of water. They are not interchangeable by default; the correct material depends on the process, equipment and approved specification.
Buyers commonly review CaO or available-lime basis, reactivity or slaking behaviour, particle-size distribution, moisture, residue and relevant impurity limits. The required test method should also be stated where applicable.
Selected lump, granular and powder options may be available. Share the intended process, feeding method, required size range and current grade so the closest commercial option can be reviewed.
Applicable TDS and SDS documents can be shared for the proposed grade, and the relevant COA or shipment analysis is supplied according to the approved product and commercial agreement.
