A properly selected coated grade should be evaluated in the buyer's actual formulation and processing conditions. The objective is consistent interaction between the mineral filler, polymer and other formulation components.
Buyers evaluating a new source should therefore consider production consistency in addition to the nominal coating specification.
7. Match the Grade to the Polymer and Final Application
A calcium carbonate grade suitable for one filler masterbatch application may not automatically be the best choice for another.
Important information includes the carrier polymer, final product, target mineral loading and processing method.
