De-icing gradation & flow
Target sieve distribution, oversize, fines and moisture should match the spreader, storage and authority specification.
De-icing salt and selected table-salt supply
Egyptian rock salt offered through two clearly controlled routes: coarse and medium grades for de-icing and anti-icing programmes, plus selected table and food-processing salt enquiries. Biliton reviews NaCl basis, particle size, moisture, additives, packing, documentation and destination requirements before proposing an option.

Start RFQ →TWO SUPPLY ROUTES
De-icing salt is selected for winter-service operations around NaCl basis, particle-size distribution, moisture, fines, flow and the buyer’s spreading or brine system. Table and food-processing salt requires a separate food-grade review covering composition, insoluble matter, contaminants, hygiene, additives or iodisation, food-compatible packing and destination rules.
Biliton Trading Egypt starts with the intended use and approved specification. De-icing material is never presented as table salt. A food-route offer is made only against the agreed food-grade, documentation and regulatory basis for the destination market.

WHY ROUTE-SPECIFIC PARAMETERS MATTER
Rock salt is not accepted by appearance alone. Chemistry, grading, moisture, additives, documentation and intended use determine whether a proposed supply basis is relevant.
Target sieve distribution, oversize, fines and moisture should match the spreader, storage and authority specification.
Purity and particle size are reviewed around the buyer’s approved anti-icing, brine-generation or pre-wetting process.
Where Codex CXS 150 is the agreed basis, food-grade salt requires at least 97% NaCl on a dry basis, excluding additives; shipment values remain grade-specific.
Iodine level, permitted anti-caking agents, product name and marking must follow the agreed specification and destination rules.
GRADE SELECTION
Send a current specification, tender sheet, TDS, COA, sieve analysis, food standard or approved reference product when available. Final supply parameters are stated in the proposed grade documents and commercial offer.
Confirm de-icing, anti-icing or food/table-salt use first. These routes require different acceptance, handling and documentation.
Share the required sodium-chloride purity, dry or as-received basis and the applicable analysis method or approved standard.
De-icing spreaders, brine systems, table-salt filling and food processing can require different sieve distributions and fines limits.
State maximum moisture, water-insoluble matter and relevant secondary-component or contaminant limits.
For food salt, confirm iodised or non-iodised status, iodine basis, anti-caking requirements and destination labelling rules.
Quantity, 25 kg or 50 kg bags, bulk option, destination, Incoterm, required documents and regulatory standard are reviewed before offer.
APPLICATION ROUTES
Final suitability is confirmed by the buyer’s technical, regulatory and quality teams. Biliton supplies against the agreed commercial specification rather than a generic performance or food-compliance claim.
Coarse and medium rock-salt options reviewed against the authority or contractor specification, spreader system and target gradation.

Discuss application →Granulation and documentation reviewed for qualified manufacturers using salt in approved food-processing or brining systems.
Discuss application →Non-retail 25 kg and 50 kg supply considered for qualified buyers with agreed hygiene, labelling, traceability and packing requirements.
Discuss application →PACKING & EXPORT SUPPLY
De-icing and table-salt offers remain separately identified. Commercial formats can include BILITON branded 25 kg and 50 kg bags, palletised bags, jumbo bags or bulk supply where suitable. For an approved food route, food-compatible liners, hygiene, lot marking, iodisation declaration and destination labelling are confirmed separately from industrial winter-service packing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Need a different technical, food-route or commercial answer? Include the question in your RFQ.
No. Although both are based on sodium chloride, de-icing and table-salt grades follow different composition, particle-size, hygiene, additive, packing and regulatory requirements. Biliton reviews and identifies the two supply routes separately.
Buyers commonly specify NaCl basis, particle-size distribution, oversize and fines limits, moisture, insoluble matter, additives and the applicable road-authority or tender standard. The spreading or brine-generation system should also be stated.
Selected food-route enquiries can be reviewed. A table-salt offer is made only against an agreed food-grade composition, contaminant, hygiene, additive or iodisation, packing, documentation and destination-regulatory basis. De-icing material is not offered for food use.
Codex CXS 150 states that food-grade salt should contain at least 97 percent NaCl on a dry-matter basis, excluding additives, and also addresses contaminants, hygiene, labelling, packaging and sampling. The buyer must confirm the exact destination standard and grade requirements.
Availability is reviewed against the approved specification and destination rules. Please state the required iodine compound and level, permitted anti-caking agent, labelling basis and relevant national standard.
Applicable TDS, SDS and COA or shipment analysis can be supplied according to the proposed grade and commercial agreement. Food-route document and compliance requirements must be confirmed before the offer.
Commercial options can include separately branded BILITON 25 kg and 50 kg bags, palletised bags, jumbo bags or bulk supply where suitable. Food-compatible liners, hygiene controls and food-route marking are confirmed separately from de-icing packing.
Send the intended use, approved specification, grain size, quantity, packing and destination. We will review the correct supply route.
